Online payment gateway Paytm has introduce online traffic challan payment, Users can simply log onto the app, tap on ‘Traffic Challan’, enter their vehicle number and proceed to make the payment after verifying a few other details.
“Traffic challan payments in India largely happen at select counters and in cash,” says Senior Vice President at Paytm, Kiran Vasireddy said to leading daily. “We are glad to partner with the state traffic police departments to enable challan payments on the go,” he adds.Currently, apart from Paytm, the other two methods to pay a traffic challan are – direct online payment via credit card or debit card through a third party gateway or cash payment via Vodafone mobile stores.
The service will generate digital invoice and the documents surrendered in police station will be dispatch from courier, the company said in a statement.
