Mumbai : Central Railway services were disrupted during peak hours on Monday evening after pantograph of an empty local train broke at 4.30pm on platform no. 1 of Thane station. Eight services were cancelled and it took nearly two hours to restore services, which resumed by 6.10pm. Narendra Patil, chief PRO of CR, said: “The empty-rake train was moving towards the car-shed when the pantograph broke. It took us some hours to sort out technical glitches. We had closed down services on platform 1 but restarted them by 6.10pm.”
