Mumbai: On Monday, the Bombay High Court extended the stay on the trial against Sameer Gaikwad, accused of killing comrade Govind Pansare, till August 11. This order comes in response to an application filed by the State CID challenging the orders of a sessions court, which denied staying the trial against Gaikwad, the lone accused arrested yet. Sandeep Shinde, appearing for CID, informed Justice Sadhana Jadhav that the agency is yet to receive the forensic reports of the bullets and cartridges, which are been sent to Scotland Yard police. Shinde told the court that the CBI, which is investigating the Narendra Dabholkar case, sent the bullets and cartridges, recovered from Pansare murder spot to ascertain if there is any link between the murders of Pansare, Dabholkar and MM Kalburgi.
