Mumbai: In a conversation with FPJ’s sister publication, Navshakti, Union Minister for Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Prakash Javadekar, said the opposition parties kept indulging in politics against Prime Minister Narendra Modi to rule him out of power. In the first five years the Modi government diligently worked towards the betterment of power supply, roads, education, domestic gas, farmer insurance, Jan Dhan, Ayushman Bharat and various other schemes that reached not only the rural areas but also the remote areas. As a result, people re-elected Modi as their prime minister. Javadekar said the opposition party failed to understand the ideation, execution and management of Modi’s development plan for the state. In Rajasthan, 25 seats were occupied by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s Member of Parliament.
While taking a consensus, the people in Rajasthan had made it pretty clear that they were happy with Modi’s work and would like to have him as a prime minister for another term. Moreover, Javadekar said, the opposition party members failed to understand that people had already elected Modi as their PM in their mind.
Five months ago, people had given power to Congress in three states. After the defeat, the BJP rectified their mistakes and worked on it, following which they attained results in the Lok Sabha elections, said Javadekar. After the rectification, the senior Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officers, who had started their career from a district level, were asked to go back to basics and check the status of their first posted area. Javadekar said, “This might be the first time an officer was asked to look back and check the current status and create a database to look into the development. The IAS officers were asked to sit back daily post 6 pm and take a look in these matters.”
Having come from a poor family himself, Modi had experienced the struggles faced by a common man. “Modi does not belong to a dynasty, which is why he would never take part in unlawful ways and get himself amid a scam. He never did anything for his own house but dedicated his service to the nation,” said Javadekar. Modi works for straight 18 hours a day selflessly, he added.
People have realised what a pious man Modi is, which is why BJP managed to secure 300+ seats in the Lok Sabha elections. When asked Javadekar that did he expect Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s defeat from Amethi, he said, “Congress ruled the nation for the longest time, but failed to instil faith in people that they were working for the society. Someday, when one visits Amethi or Raibareily, they could see how people were taken for granted and did not yield any results for their votes.”
