Mumbai : Come elections and candidates indulge in buying propaganda material from the market. But this time, the accent will be more on women’s beauty items. While merchandise like flags, t-shirts and caps have always been available in the market, this year women’s beauty items like bracelets, hairpins, necklaces, lockets and other sundry items will be available with poll emblems and pictures of party chiefs.
Even children have something to cheer about. Masks of mass leaders like Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi will there for children during campaigns. They will be priced at Rs 5.
Significantly, for the first time 3D batches have entered the market. Shoppers at Lalbaug said, chains, bracelets, buttons, lockets, hairpins are priced at Rs 10 to 20. All leading parties like Cong, BJP, Shiv Sena, MNS and BSP candidates spend over Rs 2 to 3 lakh for buying the propaganda material.
Besides, there are plastic balloons priced at Rs 20 to 30 selling in the market.
Shop owner Vinay Tendulkar said, “we can make party symbols on these balloons at party candidate’s demand.
Tendulkar also said, we have made all types of propaganda items like t-shirts, mufflers, and 3D party batches. We will provide all propaganda items depending on the demand from candidates.
