Mumbai : The Bandra police are still groping in the dark and have not found any leads on Thursday’s robbery case in which four men, two of them posing as policemen, decamped with gold and silver valuables worth Rs 3 crore from the employees of a private courier firm based in Kalbadevi. The cops had obtained a CCTV footage from a camera, installed near the building where the incident had happened. However, the visibility was not that clear to identify the accused.

On Thursday, four men who posed as police personnel waylaid the vehicle of Amit Soni, the manager at Sai Courier Services in Mumbai. Soni and three of his colleagues were supposed to deliver 60 packets of jewels worth between Rs 3 crore and Rs 6 crore.
Soni and his colleagues were under the impression that they were being taken to Kherwadi police station. But when the taxi reached the Bandra Magistrate Court, the uniformed accused got off on the pretext of making a phone call. He never returned. The other accused in the Swift and auto also vanished.
To solve the case, the West Region police have prepared six teams of police officials.
