Navi Mumbai Crime: 42-Year-Old Teacher Booked For Molesting Minor During Exam At Vashi College

According to the mother of the victim who has registered a case with Vashi police, the incident allegedly occurred on March 20 between 8 to 11 am at a Junior college in Vashi. The students from class 11 commerce were appearing for their English Exam.

A 42 year old teacher has been booked by Vashi police for molesting a 16 year old student appearing for a commerce exam. The teacher booked was supervisor in the class wherein the victim was undertaking the exam. 

According to the mother of the victim who has registered a case with Vashi police, the incident allegedly occurred on March 20 between 8 to 11 am at a Junior college in Vashi. The students from class 11 commerce were appearing for their English Exam.   

According to the police, the supervisor sat beside the victim and allegedly touched her inappropriately. "We have registered the case as per the allegations of the complainant and the further investigations are on," a police officer from Vashi police said. The accused who was the exam supervisor, hailed from Lalgoan, taluka Nifad, Nashik district.

The complainant has also alleged that the accused touched her inappropriately while collecting the answer sheet.

The case is registered with the Vashi police under section 75 – Criminalise sexual assault along with section 12- punishment for sexual harassment of a child of Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO).
