Mumbai: Taking stock of the increasing number of ticketless travellers, the western railway (WR) officials have become creative. They adapted apna time ayega, the theme song of Gully Boy to Tera time ayega. Quite a quick take by officials who otherwise are seen passing the issue to each other. Taking inspiration from the latest hit song, Apna time ayega and added their lyrics Tu bina ticket aya hai, tu pakda zaroor jayega (If you travel without ticket, you are sure to be caught).
On February 15, western railways tweeted, “A special message for some of our fellow passengers who travel in local trains without a ticket. Western Railway requests you to travel with an appropriate ticket, as travelling without a ticket is not only a punishable offence but is also a social crime. #TeraTimeAayega.”
On Sunday, a ticket collector died chasing after a ticketless traveller between Kasara and Umbarmali stations. This is not the first instance that a TC has met with an accident or list his life. So far this video and message has received 25 comments, been retweeted 67 times and only 193 likes. Time, smartphone savvy youngsters popularise this message.
A regular traveller replied to this tweet, “@PiyushGoyal @RailMinIndia We traveled on 14 Feb-122780&17feb-122279 Goa Exp. saw TC Adjusted “General tickets” in “Sleeper” without any Authenticated receipt just taking Bribe of 100/200 Only & when confirm ticket person entered for travel Adjusted person arguing with them.” While another exclaimed, “@WesternRly @drmbct Hahaha this is LIT,” (with fire and face palm emojis). Many a skeptic however reacted saying if the railways steps up vigilance, they will not need such inspiration and rap songs.

Have some guts to check on regular basis.
