Three held for mobile phone thefts
Three people were arrested and 26 stolen mobile phones were recovered from their possession in suburban Kurla here, police said on Tuesday.
The police have busted a theft racket with the arrest of Arif Khokhar (28), Vyankatesh Mane (27), an autorickshaw driver and Amit Mane (27), who is a businessman, an official from Kurla police said.
Khokhar allegedly stole mobile phones and sold them to Vyankatesh and Amit at a cheaper rate, he said.

3 people die in 24 hours, 95 evacuated from flooded areas
Three persons died in rain-related incidents in Maharashtra over the past 24 hours and 95 people were evacuated from some of the flooded places, a disaster management department report said on Tuesday.

Thane records 114 new Covid-19 cases; active tally at 2,037
On Tuesday, health official informed that Thane district has recorded 114 new cases of coronavirus, taking the tally of infections to 7,31,578.
Currently, the district has 2,037 active Covid-19 cases, the official said. One death was also reported on Monday, raising the toll to 11,915.

Mumbai reported zero Covid-19 death for the second day in a row on Monday, following which the death toll remained at 19,624 fatalities.
