Mumbai: Ahead of Lok Sabha elections, an unclaimed bag of a food delivery service found near Tilak Bridge at Dadar spread panic on Thursday morning, suspecting it to be a bomb. After a man alerted the police control room about the unclaimed baggage, Bhoiwada police reached the spot and found the bag to be heavy.

However, after the bomb detection and disposal squad was called for inspection, the bag was filled with food packages and no bomb was detected.

The police then declared the bag as safe and tried to locate the owner of the bag, as it contained a lunch bill along with a mobile charger. Police suspect, the delivery man might have dropped the bag while riding past the bridge in a hurry. The hoax call led to a traffic jam on the Tilak Bridge from 10:30am-11:30am, from Sion to VT highway.
