Mumbai: Two BMC workers die of electrocution in Kurla; five injured

Two BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) workers died due to electrocution on Monday morning while carrying out repair work at a water pipeline in Kurla East's Suman Nagar Area.

The deceased have been identified as Ganesh Ugale (45) and Amol Kale (40). According to medical officials of Rajawadi hospital, both Ugale and Kale were bought dead to the hospital.

The incident took place around 8 am on Monday morning, while it was reported by the BMC around 1 pm. Five more workers were injured during the incident.

The injured have been identified as Nana Pukale (41), Mahesh Jadhav (40), Naresh Adhangle (40), Rakesh Jadhav (39), and Anil Chavan (40).

The injured are undergoing treatment at Rajawadi hospital and hospital sources have confirmed that their condition is stable.
