Mumbai and neighbouring parts of the city on Tuesday received rainfalls bringing slight relief from the heat to Mumbaikars.
K S Hosalikar, India Meteorological Department, said, "Latest satellite image indicates vry active spell of RF going on ovr Konkan;Palghar Mumbai Thane,parts of S Konkan. Mumbai Suburbs more affected. Palghar could be more too. Warnings r issued by IMD & surely these rains must hv put difficulties for Mumbaikars returning from office"
Regional Meteorological Centre, Mumbai had earlier in the day predicted that Mumbai and Thane will receive thunder storm with lightning, rain and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) at isolated places.
Meanwhile, Mumbaikars seem to have enjoyed the weather.
