Uddhav said that the project should be planned in consultation with the locals by conducting a survey on the actual land, protection of horticulture wherever possible and a comprehensive plan for the best remuneration of the locals. Industry minister Subhash Desai said the department will pursue with the Centre for an early development of the bulk drug park. “In addition to the compensation towards land acquisition, 10% developed land will be provided for project affected people (PAPs). The plot can be used for commercial, industrial and residential use. Therefore, it will be possible to rent out industrial / business as well as residential flats and generate permanent income by the project affected people. A skill development centre will be set up for the skill development of the locals,” he said.
