Mumbai: Ahead of Lok Sabha polls and aiming to dilute the confusion among the party workers, Dr Sujay Vikhe-Patil has announced to clear his political stand in the first week of March. He said that the decision about leaving Ahmednagar Lok Sabha seat to Congress from the quota of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) is yet to taken by the NCP chief.
“If NCP will not share this seat, I will have to take some decision. If Shiv Sena and the Bharatiya Janata Party can come together, why not we can take different decision?” He asked party workers and hinted that he has the option to contest the LS polls as an independent candidate or as NCP or BJP candidate.
Dr Sujay has decided to contest the polls. However, the political rivalry between NCP chief Sharad Pawar and Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil, leader of opposition in assembly became a hurdle before exchange of seats. “NCP is ready to give ticket to Sujay instead of leaving the seat,” claimed an NCP leader.
