In a shocking incident, on Tuesday three school students riding a motorcycle without helmet met with an accident near Dahanu, Palghar.
According to Mid-Day, one of the three died on spot, while other two suffered major injuries. The deceased was identified as Updesh Madan (17) and two of his friends who suffered serious injuries have been identified as Ajit Kashinath More (16) and Durgesh Maachi (16). The three are students of JMT High School in Vangaon.
The incident took place, when the trio had gone to Dahanu beach after their send off party in school for SSC students. But while returning their bike skid on the bridge and fell off. The police have registered a case under Section 304 (a) (death by negligence) 279 (rash driving) and 338 (causing grievous hurt) of IPC and are currently investigating the case.
