Mumbai: Six including minor held for allegedly killing social worker

The Shivaji Nagar police arrested six persons including a minor, hours after they allegedly killed a social worker from the area on Thursday morning. The deceased is identifed as Suhail Noor Mohammad, 36. According to Shivaji Nagar police officials, the deceased abused an eunuch also an accused and demanded sexual favours which led to the incident.

At the time of incident, Suhail was consuming alcohol with his friend Samad opposite Shahjada Backery in Baiganwadi area. According to police officials, Samad called his friend Shahnaj who came with the eunuch, while the two were having a conversation Suhail took eunuch's mobile number and contacted her after they left.

"Over the phone, the deceased spoke in a derogatory manner and demanded sexual favours from the eunuch, " said Kishor Gayke senior inspector of Shivaji Nagar police station. Soon Shahnaj and the eunuch along with five others returned and confronted Suhail. The argument escalated and the group attacked Suhail. Two of them stabbed him and fled from the spot.

He was rushed to Rajawadi hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during treatement, said police. Soon after the incident the police arrested six accused while one accused is still at large.
