The incident took place when he was leaving the theatre after watching Luka Chuppi at Haseen multiplex in Nizampura area of Bhiwandi on Monday afternoon. The injured person, Romik Lalit Jain, 28, resides in Gokul Nagar, Bhiwandi. Jain and five of his relatives had gone to watch the 11 am show.

Romik Jain, who deals in cement, said, “While leaving the multiplex with family after the end of the movies at 1.30 pm, I lost my balance and fell down. I could not move a single step. My relatives took me to a private doctor. I fractured my toe finger, and doctors advised me a 20-day bed rest.”

Lalit Jain, father of Romik Jain said, “We rushed to the multiplex manager and complained about the short step, which resulted in my son’s injury. The manager assured us of the immediately action.” Bhushan Kadam, the manager of Haseen multiplex said, “We got four complaints about the short step.
