Mumbai: Police arrest two for robbing auto driver at knifepoint in Andheri

Mumbai: Amboli police have arrested two persons for looting an auto rickshaw driver at knifepoint and running away with his auto rickshaw and his mobile phone. The accused have been identified as Aslam Kadar Sayyad (28) and Harsad Nandu Gaikwad (23) alias Bobby.

On the night of April 7, the two accused, along with their accomplice, took an auto rickshaw from Lashkaria Tower area at Veera Desai Road to Versova.

As soon as the auto reached Versova, the trio threatened the driver, Rajkumar Kushwah (26) and physically assaulted him. The accused fled with his auto rickshaw and a mobile phone. On Wednesday, Amboli police finally arrested the two accused, who are residents of Shyam slums near Veera Desai Road, Andheri.
