Condemning the Pulwama terror attack, train movements were affected in Maharashtra’s Nalasopara, situated close to Mumbai. Several protesters blocked the tracks due to which the train movement has been affected at Nalasopara and beyond. GRP, RPF personnel are making efforts to bring the situation under control. A large crowd could be seen at Nalasopara Railway station. People are calling for a bandh over the terror attack, which killed 45 CRPF personnel on February, 14.
Tracks at Nallasopara have been cleared of the protesters & trains are now running up to Virar & beyond, Western Railway later Tweeted.
Large number of people were seen blocking the tracks.
Passengers were seen stranded on trains at Nalasopara railway station.
The protesters got onto the tracks around 8.20 am and started raising slogans against Pakistan.
People were shouting slogans of ‘Vande Matram’ while paying condolences to the martyred soldiers.

Chief spokesperson of the WR, Ravinder Bhakar, said the protest started at 8.20 am when people came on the railway tracks and stopped the movement of trains. Forces have been called in to disperse the agitating crowd,” he said.
The protesters shouted slogans of ‘Bharat mata ki jai’. They also raised slogans against Pakistan for the Pulwama terror attack and demanded action against the neighbouring country for sponsoring and sheltering terrorists and terror groups.
“Trains are not operating between Nalasopara and Virar stations, while services between Vasai to Churchgate are normal. “The agitation is likely to affect the the schedule of the long-distance trains as well,” he added.
Later, Police baton charged to disperse protesters at Nallasopara railway station. Services now resumed at Virar, Nallasopara & Bhayandar.
