Mumbai: There seems to be no end to the woes of lakhs of commuters as the Ola and Uber drivers’ union have threatened a strike again if demands are not met. Their demand is to fix the minimum fare at `100 to `150 due to rising fuel price in recent months. “We have not decided the date for the strike. But if our demands are ignored by the state government, we’ll call for the indefinite strike,” said a union leader.

Last year, a 12-day strike was organised in October and November. However, the strike was called off after transport minister Diwakar Raote held talks with the union. “It has been over a month and driver partners are disappointed their demands seem to have been ignored by the government, he said. Some who went on a hunger strike in Ghatkopar to raise some issues against the aggregator firms on Friday night were picked up by police,” said Mahesh Jadhav, union leader, Ola.
