Thane: A mock terro drill was conducted at Thane Municipal Corporation headquarters (TMC) on Thursday morning. The two-hour drill caught shoppers and public by surprise. The drill was conducted by the Thane Naupada police, along with Thane Disaster Response Force ( TDRF) and Regional Disaster Management Cell ( RDMC).
RDMC official said, “We evacuated the employees, officers and people from TMC headquarters after informing them that a terrorist had entered the premises.” Two hours later, the officers informed the people it was a mock drill. The drill saw the men in uniform pinning down a dummy terrorist. It tested the anti-terror response of the policemen.
