Mumbai Mega Block: Train services on Western, Central and Harbour lines to be affected on Sunday

Central Railway and Western Railway will conduct Mumbai Mega Block on most of the Sundays for the maintenance works of rail racks and other related works under both the Railway zones. Central Railway’s Train Block is called Mega Block and Western Railway’s Train Block is called Jumbo Block.

Central Line

Mulund-Matunga Fast Line (11.15 AM TO 4.15 PM).

Central Railway will operate Mega Block on its suburban sections for carrying out maintenance work on Sunday 12.8.2018.

Harbour Line

Kurla-Vashi (11.10 AM TO 4.10 PM)

CSMT – Panvel/Belapur/Vashi  (10.34 am to 3.39 pm)

Panvel/Belapur/Vashi – CSMT (10.21 am to 3.41 pm)

Dn Harbour line services to Panvel/Belapur/Vashi leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus from 10.34 am to 3.39 pm and Up Harbour line services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus leaving Panvel/Belapur/Vashi from 10.21 am to 3.41 pm will remain suspended.
However special local trains will run on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus – Kurla and Vashi – Panvel sections during the block period. Harbour Line passengers are also permitted to travel via Trans-Harbour / Main Line from 10.00 am to 4.30 pm.

Western Line

Churchgate – Mumbai Central (10.35 AM – 03.35 PM)

To carry out maintenance work of tracks, signalling and overhead equipment, a Jumbo block will be taken on Up and Dn slow lines between Churchgate and Mumbai Central (Local) from 10:35 hrs to 15:35 hrs on Sunday, 12th August 2018.

During the block period, all slow line trains will be operated on fast line between Churchgate and Mumbai Central (Local). Due to this, some Up and Dn suburban trains will remain cancelled.
