Police arrests 1 more person linked with fake vaccination case
Mumbai Police Thursday arrested one more person in connection with the case of fake vaccinations. Twelve people have been arrested in the case so far, police said.
Police arrested one Rajesh Pandey today from the Amrita Lodge located on Bhagwan Road of Baramati in Maharashtra.
A team of Kandivali Police from Mumbai has been sent to bring the accused to Mumbai.
'Antilia' bomb scare case: Court extends NIA custody of two accused till July 5
A special court here on Thursday extended till July 5 the National Investigative Agency's (NIA) custody of two accused arrested in connection with the case of an explosive-laden SUV found near industrialist Mukesh Ambani's house and the murder of businessman Mansukh Hiran.
The accused Manish Soni and Satish Mothkuri were produced before the special NIA court at the end of their remand on Thursday, and the investigating agency sought an extension of their custody for further probe into the matter, which the court allowed.
Boy detained for stealing vehicles; three rickshaws, one two-wheeler recovered
A 17-year-old boy has been detained in Panvel by the Navi Mumbai police for allegedly stealing motorcycles and autorickshaws, an official said on Thursday.
Following his detention, a total of three stolen autorickshaws and a motorcycle, collectively worth around Rs 2.10 lakh, were recovered from him, police said.
The juvenile offender, who lives in a local slum, was caught driving a stolen autorickshaw on Tuesday night by the patrolling squad of police, senior inspector Ajaykumar Landge of Panvel city police station said.
Fake vaccination camps: Another case comes to light
The Mumbai police on Thursday registered a new First Information Report against eight persons for holding fake COVID-19 vaccination camps for a private firm, an official said.
This is the 10th FIR registered in Mumbai after a racket which held bogus or unauthorized vaccination camps for housing societies and private firms came to light last month.
The latest case relates to such camps held for Inter Gold company, the police official said.
