The Dombivli police have booked three people for unleashing two dogs on a team of police and KDMC (Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation) officials. The officials on duty were roaming around taking action against citizens not wearing masks. The dog had bitten one of the police constable and injured him on his leg.

Mumbai: 641 cases registered for flouting COVID-19 norms on April 28

Mumbai Police registered 641 cases in connection to the lockdown violations recorded on Wednesday, of which most were registered against citizens found moving around the city without any reasons. Lockdown-like curbs have been imposed in the city to contain the spread of novel coronavirus and strict action is being initiated against those caught violating lockdown, Covid rules and regulations. Police booked the violators under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for disobedience of orders promulgated by public servants (Section 188).

COVID-19: Mumbai reports 4,192 cases, 82 deaths on April 29, fatality count crosses 13,000

Mumbai on Thursday reported 4,192 fresh COVID-19 cases and 82 deaths, as per a report by BMC's health department. As per reports by city's civic body Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Mumbai reported 82 COVID-19 fatalities taking the death toll to 13,072. With the addition of today's number, the city has reported 6,44,699 COVID-19 cases.
