The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted the lives of people ever since the first cases were reported, and it continues to do so. The second wave of the virus was particularly severe, claiming a high toll of lives across the country.

To contain the spread of the virus, the State and the Central Governments took drastic measures by way of introducing vaccination drives to boost the immunity of individuals to the virus.

Through a recent notification, the State Government and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation allowed private housing societies and private companies to join hands to host vaccination drives.

On Saturday, as part of its philanthropic activities, the Free Press Journal Group organised a vaccination drive in its premises at Free Press House in Nariman Point, in association with Jaslok Hospital. About 180 persons took advantage of the drive and were administered the Covishield vaccine.
