Mumbai: Flyer held with foreign currency concealed in chargers

Mumbai: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) arrested a passenger when they recovered foreign currency worth Rs10,67,000 concealed in two dummy mobile chargers at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai on Sunday.

The passenger, who was about to board a flight from the international airport, was intercepted by the airport security officials on the basis of suspicion.

On checking the luggage of the passenger, the CISF officials found the foreign currency neatly concealed in two dummy mobile phone chargers. The passenger was arrested and booked under relevant sections. Further investigations are underway, police said.
