Mumbai: On specific inputs a few days ago about drug-peddling in Dongri, Sr PI Kamble led team, including PSI Dinkar, PSI Sandeep Patil, Sawant, Raut, Pawar, Gaikwad and Datta Patil, laid a trap in Jakiriya Masjid Street. Police said a trap near S V P road helped them nab Rizwan Shahid Qureshi (38), a resident of B.No.21 room no 401 Bhendi bazar. He was possessing 34 grams of cocaine worth Rs10,2000. During the probe, he revealed the source from whom he had procured the drug.
Subsequently, two Tanzanian nationals were arrested from Sayyed guest-house near Shalimar Hotel Phydhunie. Saleh Rajabu Hariri (47) possessed 48 grams cocaine worth Rs1.44 lakh while Dazi Amani Msuku (40) was carrying a 44-gram packet worth Rs1.32 lakh. The accused were caught with drugs amounting to Rs3.78 lakh. A case was registered at Dongri police station under relevant sections of NDPS Act. The trio was produced in court for remand.
