On Thursday, the Mumbai police arrested a 30-year-old peon for allegedly sexually assaulting a 7-year-old boy inside the school washroom.
According to Mumbai Mirror, the incident took place on January 16 when the minor boy, a Class II student, had gone to the washroom. The accused followed the boy to the washroom which is located on the second floor of the school building. The accused then made sure that the washroom was deserted and sexually assaulted the boy. The accused also threatened the boy with dire consequences if told anyone about the incident.
The boy got scared and kept mum, but later after when he saw his mother he started crying and narrated the entire incident to her. The mother immediately approached the cops and filed a complaint against the peon. After the complaint was lodged, the cops verified the allegations and registered an FIR under Section 506 (II), (threats to kill) of the Indian Penal Code and under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The cops then arrested the accused and have been sent to police custody by the court.
