On Monday, a 37-year-old man was arrested by Trombay police for allegedly stabbing his crime accomplice after he thought that his friend was not giving him his share of the money after pickpocketing people.

According to DNA, the accused has been identified as Anwar Miya Shaikh (37) and the deceased has been identified as Fakir Mohammed alias Sarfaraz. Shaikh and Sarfaraz knew each other since a long time and they together had served jail sentence at Pune for being found guilty under petty criminal offences like robbery, pickpocketing and other similar crimes.

After being released from jail the duo returned to Mumbai, after which Sarfaraz decided to mend his ways and keep a distance from Shaikh. But Shaikh thought that Sarfaraz is cheating him and was executing offences alone without giving Shaikh his share. So, on Monday evening, an enraged Shaikh approached Sarfaraz, who was sitting with his wife outside his residence. He stabbed him multiple times after which Sarfaraz died due to heart failure. The cops have arrested Shaikh and have booked him under section 302, 504, 506(2) and 323 of the IPC.
