On Tuesday, the crime branch of Government Railway Police (GRP) arrested a 36-year-old man and his associate for killing a member of his gang after he suspected him of having affair with his wife.
According to the Hindustan Times, the accused were identified as Mahendra Solanki (36) and Ganesh Waghela (27). Mahendra Solanki has 11 cases of robbery and cheating registered against him. The victim was identified as Anil Shelar. Shelar was a history-sheeter with more than 21 criminal cases registered against him. In 2017, when Solanki was lodged in jail for year Shelar allegedly began an affair with his wife. After he got out of the prison and when he got to know about the affair, Solanki warned Shelar and told him to stay away from his wife.
But Shelar ignored the warning, that is when Solanki decided to kill him. On Saturday night, Solanki and his accomplice, Waghela with iron rods went near Dadar station and stabbed Shelar and left him to bleed to death. The cops arrested Solanki from Khar, where he confessed to killing Shelar because he was angry with him.
