The Mulund police have arrested a 50-year-old man for allegedly sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy. The minor boy to escape the harassment, out of depression, ran away to Pune.
According to DNA, the accused has been identified as Sudhiya Kamble (50), who is a resident of Mulund and is a driver by profession. The accused was the victim’s neighbour. Sudhiya Kamble used to lure the boy with chocolates and small gifts and molest him. But, when the boy realised that it was inappropriate, the 12-year-old slipped into depression.
But the accused didn’t stop. He took advantage of the victim’s silence and continued his acts until the boy decided to run away from his family and accused. The family then lodged a missing complaint during the last week of February. After this, the cops started tracing the boy, during which they got to know that the boy was in Pune. The boy was safely brought back by the police team. The cops, on the basis of the boy’s statement, arrested the accused under relevant sections of the IPC and POCSO Act.
