Goregaon police have booked a casting director for allegedly duping a struggling television actor. The accused have allegedly duped the struggling television actor of Rs 1.5 lakh on the pretext of giving him a role in famous TV serial. According to DNA, the actor got in touch with the accused when he was working with a television production company. The actor had asked accused to cast his son in a serial which is scheduled for launch in July.

The casting director told the victim to pay a processing fee of Rs 1.5 lakh, and the accused called the victim to his office in Goregaon’s Topiwala Compound. The accused then asked the victim to give him blank cheques, to which victim agreed. The accused also got an agreement prepared to make the deal look real. But later the accused started ignoring the victim’s calls, who then later approached the police. The police have registered an FIR and now are on the lookout for the casting director.
