The Malwani police have arrested a 40-year-old man for allegedly sodomising an 11-year-old boy in Malad. According to Mid-Day, the accused, who is an auto-rickshaw driver stays with his brother and friends in a rented room. The incident took place on the night of January 15, when the accused’s roommates were away at work. The accused saw the 11-year-old minor nearby, later he called the boy to his rented accommodation and sodomised him. The accused also gagged the minor boy. Later, the boy ran towards his house in pain. The accused and the minor boy live in the same neighbourhood.
When the boy reached home, he narrated the entire incident to his family, who later the filed a complaint with police. The 11-year-old boy was rushed to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar (Shatabdi) Hospital, where the medical tests have confirmed that the boy was sodomised. The cops then reached the accused’s house where they found out that the accused had fled the scene. Later, the cops got a tip-off that the accused was hiding at the house of his relative in Malad. The police arrested him under Sections of POCSO and Sections 377 (unnatural sex), 363 (kidnapping), 342 (wrongful confinement) of IPC.
