718 arrested in London climate protest

On Tuesday, a 35-year-old man was arrested for killing a 45-year-old man in an act of revenge. According to Mumbai Mirror, the 45-year-old man was identified as Janu Malappa Pawar, alias Billa and is a resident of Makadwala compound in Kurla East. The accused was identified as Vinod Pawar (35).  Janu Malappa Pawar was accused of murdering his stepbrother, and, in an act of revenge, was allegedly shot dead by the victim’s sibling, Vinod Pawar. Janu Malappa Pawar was out on bail in the alleged murder of his stepbrother Deepak Pawar over a property dispute last year. Vinod Pawar is Deepak’s own brother.

The incident took place when Billa was going to a public toilet that when Vinod and his accomplice opened fire at him. Later, the locals rushed Billa to Sion Hospital after they saw him lying in a pool of blood. Vinod, after the incident fled from the spot, but later went to police station and surrendered himself.

The cops have said that Billa was a petty criminal and had several cases registered against him. The cops are currently questioning Vinod and scanning the CCTV footage. The murder weapon has not been recovered yet.
