Mumbai: AAP Navi Mumbai team alleged that the school administration of St. Augustine School, Nerul, has filed a fake case against its activist and one parent. The AAP said that they have been fighting against the malpractices in the school. They have supported the parents on issues of direct targeting and harassment of students, arbitrary fee hikes, not allowing student to appear in exams and many more such cases.

As a reaction to this, the school administration has filed a fake case on AAP Activist Mayur Panghal and one parent. They forced the Nerul police to file an unjustified and totally fake case of molestation under sections 354, 452, 506, 34. The use of false cases related to abuse on women for settling scores is wrong at so many levels, especially as it trivialises the genuine cases of molestation and abuse, AAP’s Preeti Sharma Menon said in a statement.

“We condemn the St Augustine Principal for such underhand tactics and dread to think of the fate of the children under her care. We request Navi Mumbai Police to not get pressurised to file false cases related to abuse of women as it is a disservice to actual victims. More important we stand with Mayur Panghal in his fight for good education, and thank him for his work,” the statement said.
