MUMBAI: The BMC, in a tie up with Animal Planet, has launched a 3D Theatre inside the Jijamata Udyan and zoo, and will broadcast four films regarding animal sensitisation and awareness everyday. The screening would start from February 1, 2019 and nominal fees of Rs 50 will be charged per person. However, entry for the BMC school students will be free.
The five films to be screened are Jawai: India’s Leopard Hills, Wild Africa, Mysterious Wilds of India, Extinct or alive and Speed of life. There would be four shows in a day starting 11am. “The state of art theatre at VJB Udyan and Zoo was conceptualised because we wanted to give a new-age dimension of learning led entertainment,” said Ajoy Mehta, the Municipal Commissioner of the BMC.
