Mumbai: 30-year-old woman falls off from packed CR local between Mumbra and Kalwa

On Wednesday morning, a 30-year-old woman sustained severe head injuries after she fell off from a packed Central Railway local train.

According to Mumbai Mirror, the 30-year-old woman was identified as Shazia Parvez Ahmad Siddiqui, who is pursuing a beautician course with a Thane-based institute. The incident took place on Wednesday around 9.50 am. The police have said that the woman lost her grip due to pressure from inside the coach. She fell off from a CSMT-bound local train after she boarded it from Mumbra.

The woman fell between Mumbra and Kalwa railway stations. After the incident she was rushed to Kalwa Civil Hospital and her family was also informed. The woman has sustained severe injuries to her head. The woman’s cousin Siraj Ahmad told the leading daily that the train was jam-packed due to peak hour footfall and she was hanging precariously on the footboard when she lost her balance.
