Mumbai: The Mumbai Crime Branch’s Unit 6, arrested three history-sheeters from Chembur on Wednesday. The crime branch got a tip-off about a gang of thieves coming to the Chembur Colony area, so it laid a trap and arrested Ebrahim Shaukat Ali Baig, 30, Mohammad Azhar Shaikh alias Ajju, 26, and Ayub Jabbar Khan, 32, all of whom have criminal records.
Police have seized a mobile phone stolen before their arrest, as well as an autorickshaw. The trio was produced in court on Thursday, which sent them to police custody for further investigation.
