Mumbai: On Sunday at around 10:45 am, two minors were rescued by the life guards at Aksa beach in Malad.

FayyazIqbal Shaikh (16) and Arbaz Samir Shaikh (16) were pulled away and drowned during a high tide at Aksa beach in a nullah. The minors were enjoying themselves in the high tide waves when the incident happened. The life guards saved the minors.

Before the incident, the minors were warned thrice by the coast guards. But the warning fell on deaf ears. The minors were having fun at the beach and soaked themselves in the high tide waves. They were hit by the high tide waves at around 10:45 a.m.

Luckily, the coast guards Sachin Mudik, Nathuram Suryavanshi and  Pritam Kolhi  came to their rescue and  saved them,” said senior Police Inspector MilindKhetle of Malvani police station.

FayyazS haikh resides at plot number 10 at Malwani gate in Malad. Arbaz Samir Shaikh resides at plot number 47 at Malwani gate number 8.
