Mumbai: Two men, who used to cheat tourist car dealers and flee with vehicles and use it for smuggling liquor in Gujarat and Daman and Diu, were arrested on Friday. Police said they received a tip about two suspects arriving with vehicles for meeting a client in Santacruz (W).
A trap was laid and accused Arjun Parbat Kadam (37) and Vimal Sumanbhai Patel (28) were nabbed. Police seized a Hyundai Xcent and a Tata Zest. During the quizzing about the vehicles, when the accused failed to reply and could not provide valid papers, the cops arrested them. Police also seized two Swift Dzires, Mahindra Verito, Innova and Maruti Ritz.
