Mumbai: 2 drug peddlers held, Rs 12 lakh worth ganja seized

Mumbai: The Worli unit of the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC), arrested two drug peddlers near Highway Apartments on the Sion-Trombay Road with 30 kilograms of ganja worth Rs 12 lakh on Monday. Acting on a tip-off, an ANC team arrested Muktabai Manik Chavan, 30, and Mohammad Ismail Allumiya Shaikh, 40, both from Karnataka.

A case of possession has been registered against the accused. Offences under 8(c), 20 (c) of Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) 1985, have been registered against the accused and further investigations is underway, according to a source.
