Mumbai : The civic-run MT Agarwal hospital in Mulund will soon be redeveloped wherein the hospital will get a new operation theatre, dialysis centre, laboratory  and increased bed capacity.

The revamping of the hospital had been discussed in the health budget of the civic body. Dr Mahendra Wadiwala, chief medical superintendent of peripheral hospitals, said: “The hospital is going to be redeveloped for better facilities and discussions are under way. However, things are still in initial stages and we are yet to get a nod from the civic officer for the departments which are to be included in the redevelopment. In a few months, we will be able to float the tenders and the work will be started immediately.”
