Mumbai : Housing society body, Maharashtra Societies Welfare Association (MSWA), has decided to launch a mass agitation on Sunday to highlight the alleged complexities related to granting of ‘deemed conveyance’.
MSWA, a registered non-profit governing organisation, has alleged that the concerned officials of the revenue department responsible for granting deemed conveyance to the societies are playing spoilsport and have repeatedly turned a deaf ear to their demands.
“Now we have no option left, but to resort to mass agitation. Representatives of thousands of housing societies which have been denied conveyance would gather in suburban Dombivli on June 28 and convey their anger to local MLAs and MPs,” MSWA spokesperson Sunil Sharma said.
