Mumbai :  Monika More who lost both her arms after falling in the gap at Ghatkopar station earlier this year will now address the problems of the 4.5 lakh railway commuters.

Member of Parliament Sachin Tendulkar has sent a letter to the Central Railway (CR) asking them to make More a member of the Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee Member (DRUCC) as his nomination. An official from CR said, “We have received the letter and the paper is on. She has filled her form as an 18 year old.”

The committee works as an interface between railway authorities and the commuters and puts up issues of the latter to be resolved by the authorities. The committee meets every three months.

Subhash Gupta, a former DRUCC member said, “She is an apt candidate as she is a victim of a railway accident and no one will represent the problem better than her.”
