Thane: A local MNS leader was injured after a youth allegedly threw red chilli powder into his eyes and later attacked him with sharp weapons at Rabodi in the district, police said on Saturday. Head of Rabodi unit of MNS, Jamil Ahmed Shaikh (43) was attacked by an unidentified youth aged around 25 late last night, API Suresh Gholap of Rabodi police station said. The attacker has been booked under section 307 of the IPC and a hunt was on for him.
