Mumbai: The MNS would most likely not be a part of the Congress- NCP alliance in Maharashtra as the NCP has already declared its candidate for Kalyan, Thane and Mumbai North-East Lok Sabha constituencies. These were the three of four constituencies, that the MNS was keen on contesting.
The fourth one being Pune, which is with the Congress party. If sources are to be believed, the MNS supremo Raj Thackeray was negotiating with the NCP chief, Sharad Pawar to be apart of the Congress-NCP alliance and had asked for these four seats.
Now, since the NCP has declared its candidate for Thane, Kalyan and Mumbai North-East seats, the MNS most likely no place in the alliance. When enquired by the Free Press Journal, no leader of the MNS was ready to comment on these developments.
