Mumbai : A minor fire broke out in an industrial estate in Mahim on Saturday afternoon which left two people injured. When the fire brigade control room received a call around 2.20 pm, they sent a total of two fire engines and one tanker to the spot to douse the fire. Further, fire officials stated that the fire had started in an approximately 300sq meter commercial outlet of Kakkad Industrial Estate.
The area was used for storing readymade clothes to supply them to retailers. The fire officials further informed that the fire was doused within half-an-hour of the breakout. They added that two people who have been identified as Manoj Walia (28) and Jitendra Hirulekar (18) sustained minor injuries in the incident and were rushed to Sion Hospital for treatment. Both the victims had sustained injuries on their hands for which they were treated and are currently recuperating at the hospital.
