Mega blocks on all 3 lines in Mumbai; special block between CSMT and Sandhurst Road on Sunday night

Mumbaikars planning to go out on Sunday, should brace their selves as suburban train services will be affected on Western Railway and Central Railway’s Main and Harbour line due to maintenance block. The Central railway will also have a special traffic and power block between CSMT and Sandhurst Road on Sunday night.

Central Railway will operate a special traffic and power block of 5 hrs from 11.45 pm of 27.04.2019 to 4.45 am of 28.04.2019 on all 4 lines i.e. Up & Dn Slow line & Fast line and 2.30 hrs Block on Up & Dn harbour lines from midnight 1.30 am to 4.00 am of 28.4.2019 to remove/dismantle 36 meters long redundant Signal Gantry over Rail lines. Due to this, all Up & Dn Suburban Services will remain suspended between CSMT and Byculla Stations.

The Central Railway will operate Mega Block on Mainline and Harbour line for carrying out maintenance work. Due to which All UP fast line services leaving Kalyan from 10.37 am to 3.06 pm will be diverted on Up slow line between Diva and Parel stations halting at all stations up to Parel and further re-diverted on Up fast line and will arrive destination 20 minutes behind schedule.

Dn fast/semi-fast services leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus from 10.05 am to 3.22 pm will halt at Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup, Mulund and Diva stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts and arrive destination 20 minutes behind schedule. All slow line services leaving/arriving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus between 11.00 am and 6.00 pm will arrive destination 10 minutes behind schedule.

The Western Railway on Sunday will have a mega block between  Borivali to Andheri on the slow line. The block will be from 10.35 am to 3.35 pm. Due to this block, suburban trains are likely to be more crowded than usual.
