Mumbai: Versova police have recently arrested 55-year-old a man posing as a doctor, on the charges of rape. A model has accused ‘doctor’ Sunil Arora (55) of rape on the pretext of marriage. Based on the model’s complaint, a First Information Report (FIR) was registered on Sunday, after which Arora was arrested and has been sent to police custody till May 10. The 21-year-old model in her complaint said that she met Arora in October 2017, when she was taking treatment for a severe injury on her neck. Initially Arora claimed he could treat her injuries, after which they both became ‘close’. Arora then promised her of marriage, which he did not fulfil.
The model further claimed that, one night, Arora took her to a hotel at Andheri, where he forced her to drink alcohol and later he sexually assaulted her. “Arora also clicked my compromising photographs and then threatened he would make these photographs and videos viral. He then raped me on various occasions,” claimed the model in her complaint.The model also said, when she asked Arora about their marriage, Arora is said to have told her, his spiritual guru had told him that she was not trustworthy, which is why he refused to marry her.
After repeated attempts when Arora rejected her, she finally registered an FIR under several sections of Indian Penal Code, mainly for rape (376), unnatural offence (377), death caused by act done with intent to cause miscarriage (314) and cheating (420), said an officer from Versova police station.
