Mumbai: A man was arrested by Sahar police for intimidating people with a revolver on June 7 at Andheri (E), while a hunt for his three accomplices is underway. According to police sources, in the wee hours of Saturday, the arrested accused, Sunil Shivaji Madgunde (30), a Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) employee, had allegedly waved a revolver on a man. Madgunde, who works as a sweeper with the BMC, was heavily drunk, when he was passing by Annawadi in Andheri (E) with three others early on Saturday.

Annawadi area is adjacent to the Cargo parking of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. Since the accused men were in an inebriated condition, they lost their way and reached a dead end. Realising their mistake, they returned, where Madgunde threatened a man by waving a gun and intimidating him. Hours later a complaint was lodged at Sahar police station and the main accused, Madgunde was arrested and booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Police are on the lookout for three of his accomplices and are searching for the revolver. Police said they are yet to ascertain if the revolver was real or a fake.
